ReAct Redudancy Support
ReAct funding is available to individuals in Wales who have been made redundant within the last months or are under notice of redundancy. The funding is provided by the Welsh Assembly Government through the European Social Fund and can cover training costs (but not starter kits) up to £2,500 for those that qualify. This allowance reduces to £1,500 from 1st April 2011
To find out whether they are eligible, individuals should make an appintment with their nearest Careers Wales Office. Careers Wales are the ONLY organisation permitted to supply application forms for the fund.

The ReAct fund also offers Employer Recruitment Support which is designed to help and encourage employers to take on staff who have recently been made redudant. The fund of £2,080 (£3,000 from April 1st 2011)will pay wage subsidies to the employer for the first year and there is an additional fund which can be used to pay for 70% (reducing to 50% from 1st April 2011) of eligible on the job training.
